Finacial Regulations
- Membership / Subscription to be paid by Affiliated Taluk Associations / Academies / Clubs and Institutional Members, etc.
- 10% Entry fee Share to be paid by the Organizers of District Chess Championship, State Championships/State level tournaments /FIDE rated chess tournaments.
- Registration Fees to be paid by the Organizers of District / State / National and International Events.
- Registration fees for: Players / Arbiters / Coaches.
- Fees received for services rendered or materials provided or rights granted by our Association.
- Other contributions like sponsorships, donations, bank interest, etc.
- TDCA – Website advertisement charges.
- Such other receipts as may be incidental or mandatory to the above.

For all registered tournaments organizers must pay 10% of the entry fee collected (or) Rs 10/-per head (in case they don’t collect the entry fee)

Payment to Office Bearers
The Secretary shall be paid II class A/C train fare for his actual journeys performed in connection with the championship s/ Tournaments of the Association, Meetings of the Association and any Secretarial job requiring his personal attendance. He/She may be paid airfare also. In addition he shall be eligible for incidental allowance of Rs.500/- (Rs. five hundred only) for each day of travel and halt. He shall also be eligible for being re-imbursed with the actual hotel expenses on production of proper bills. Expenses for travelling by other modes of conveyance shall also be met by the Association. The same facility may be extended to other Office Bearers with the approval of the General Secretary
Remuneration to Arbiters in tournaments
- The Arbiters’ fees for tournaments in Thoothukudi District are as follows:
- FIDE Arbiter : Rs.1000/- per day + Hospitality + travel
- National Arbiter : Rs.800/- per day + Hospitality + travel
- State Arbiter : Rs.500/- per day + Hospitality + travel
- In case of District or State level Rapid chess tournaments
- The Chief Arbiter’s fee is Rs.1500/- per day
- The Deputy arbiter’s fee is Rs.1000/-per day+ Hospitality + travel
Cash Incentives for Medal winners
The TDCA shall present players with the following cash incentives whenever they win Medals in the following Official Chess Championships.

Taluk Development Program
A Taluk Chess Association which is in need of coaching for its players may appeal to the TDCA.
If the TDCA approves the request, it may pay an honorarium of Rs 1000 per day plus travel cost to the Trainer deputed to a Taluk for a maximum of five days, six hours every day. These five days can be spread over two or three weeks. The TCA shall take care of all the running costs of the programme like rent and electricity for the venue, boarding and lodging for the Trainer, local publicity, etc.
The trainer shall carry a laptop or similar device for demonstrating chess positions. The TCA should try to get a School or Club in their locality where a Projector is available to connect with the Trainer’s lap top. Or the TCA should arrange to get a magnetic demonstration board.
ChessMA Award
As a tribute to Manuel Aaron ChessMA Awards are given every year for the District Champions who participate in the State Championships by the Thoothukudi District Chess Association.
